Chinese New Year Lunar Lanterns – Guard Dogs @ Pink Cactus

Pink Cactus designed and constructed two 4m tall guard dog lanterns to bring artist Fan Dong Wang’s beautiful conception to reality. Six weeks from start to finish, Pink Cactus handled the build in it’s entirety, from structural framework, ballasts, sculpting and fibreglassing to interior lighting and painting the intricate, colourful designs. A team of 15 skilled makers helped to bring the dogs to life, bringing much joy to Chinatown Sydney for the 2018 Year of the Dog festivities.
